Disk defragmentation helps to defrag the hard drive so that Windows do not take time to search the item which you want to run. It can be found from the Windows where the disk clean up has been found.

Right click on My computer or Computer, then go to properties and under Tool tab click Disk Defragmentation button. It would analyze fragmented sectors and then start to defrag the drive. It would just take some time to complete.

The file checker utility is one of the best in Windows systems. The utility can repair all the damaged system files. From start go to run and then type misconfig and press enter. As the command prompt appears type sfc /scannow and press enter. This actually checks for bad and corrupt files as well as repairs them.
